Valentines for Veterans With Camp Fire on MLK JR National Day of Service

Camp Fire Central Oregon invites the community to honor MLK Jr. National Day of Service by creating heartfelt Valentine’s cards for U.S. veterans. All ages are welcome to drop in on Monday morning, January 19 from 9-11:30 a.m., at Bend Church-United Methodist to craft cards that will be delivered to the regional veterans hospital on Valentine’s Day. Materials are provided, and participants will also hear from our guest speaker, Dennis Guthrie, who served as a U.S. Army combat medic in Vietnam. Registration is encouraged through Connect Central Oregon, but walk-ins are warmly welcomed.
